5th International Chinese Vocal Competition Concludes at Carnegie Hall in New York (Video)

Yesterday (Oct 29), contestants took to the stage at New York’s Carnegie Hall for the finals of NTD’s 5th International Chinese Vocal Competition. The vocal competition is part of NTD’s mission to promote traditional Chinese culture.

Over the last three days, Chinese vocalists have competed fiercely for big prizes in NTD’s 5th annual International Chinese Vocal Competition. And Sunday, the finals were held at the world famous Carnegie Hall.

Taking the gold prize of ten thousand dollars was I-Chun Cheng, a Taiwanese soprano living in New York.

Wen Yu Lin from Argentina walked away with silver.

Li Yong from the male category was among the bronze winners.

In addition, four singers were selected to receive scholarships to study at special master classes in Italy.

NTD’s 4th and final competition this year will be the Chinese International Figure Painting Competition on November 28th. (NTD TV)
